Eventus

Our difference

Where deep industry knowledge & high performance computing converge

Origin story

Eventus is a leading global provider of state-of-the-art, at-scale trade surveillance software across all lines of defense.

Eventus was founded by capital markets experts and compliance practitioners who discovered that the industry lacked a trade surveillance solution fit for the frequency, volume, and breadth of products many modern trading firms were handling. Launched in 2015, Validus, our trade surveillance platform, took shape over time based on our experiences and many conversations with early clients. This client feedback and collaboration remains the most important driving force of our innovation today.

Eventus is an award-winning, recognized global leader in trade surveillance, algo monitoring, risk controls, and transaction monitoring solutions for a diverse range of firms complying with regulations in jurisdictions at the highest standards. Its powerful, award-winning Validus platform is easy to deploy, customize and operate across equities, options, futures, foreign exchange (FX), fixed income, and digital asset markets.

Validus is proven in the most complex, high-volume, and real-time environments of Eventus’ rapidly growing client base, including banks, broker-dealers, futures commission merchants (FCMs), proprietary trading groups, exchanges, market venues, energy and commodity trading firms, and crypto platforms. Clients rely on the platform, coupled with the firm’s responsive support and product development, to overcome their most pressing trade surveillance regulatory challenges.

Responsive

We are practitioners – capital markets and regulatory affairs experts, and former compliance officers – and that background informs how we build Validus and work closely with clients.

At-scale

We started Eventus because, as compliance officers, we could not find anything to handle the frequency, volume, and breadth of trading needed at high-volume trading firms. Our technology scales with our clients for efficient application that allows for growth.

Innovative

We continually refine and enhance our solutions, invest heavily in R&D, and seek efficient ways to address complex regulatory issues to shape the future-state of trade surveillance.

Expertise in-house

We are founded by a chief compliance officer and a team of seasoned post-trade operations technologists, and we hire the top regulatory, surveillance, and engineering talent. Our collaborative approach with clients and high-touch services foster a true partnership that goes beyond technology implementation.

Security & trust

Eventus upholds strict data, privacy, and security procedures to safeguard our clients. We adhere to stringent standards and undergo independent validation of compliance, recently achieving SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, assessed by third-party, independent auditors.

Our clients are our strongest advocates, and feedback has been extremely validating. Our origin as practitioners has been vital to our success because that experience gives us empathy about what our clients face.
